Dr Samina is a highly specialist counselling psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). Her areas of expertise lie in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of complex PTSD, trauma, depression and anxiety disorders, self-confidence, low self-esteem and relationship issues. She has over 10 years clinical experience within the NHS and private practice including the Priory in London Harley Street. Her integrative method will help you identify blocks and subconscious programming that are holding you back so that you can heal and shift into a more magnetic state and live your life with greater ease. Dr Samina works safely and deeply with clients and is powerfully equipped to help you get to the root of the problem so that you can make lasting changes as quickly as possible. She provides face-to-face individual and online counselling, psychotherapy and CBT to clients across the UK and internationally.

About Dr Samina Khatun

Dr Samina is a highly trained specialist counselling psychologist, with over 10 years’ clinical experience within the NHS and private practice including the Priory in London.

Dr Samina has worked with clients from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of difficulties. She takes a fluid and flexible approach and draws upon theories and skills from several therapeutic models which includes CBT. This enables her to tailor her work to meet the unique needs of each client and create a bespoke treatment plan.

Loneliness during COVID-19

Master self-love so you can start to have a healthy relationship with yourself.

Many of us are living alone during this pademic and have gone months without seeing our families and friends. So now more than ever it is essential that we practice good self-care that focuses on the mind, body and soul. 

Find sources of comfort such as taking a bath, practicise good sleep hygiene, create a sacred place in your home for dedicated journalling, cook yourself a delicious meal, take up an online course, learn a new language, meditate and get working on your body.

Abandonment Trauma

Recognise abandonment trauma and why your relationships may not be working.

When we have unresolved trauma we are more likely to be sensitive in relationships. We feel highly anxious, rejected and abandoned by those close to us. Abandonment is often rooted in childhood. As a child you may have been denied your own feelings, been neglected or had a caretaker who was emotionally unavailable. As a result you learnt to be quiet and unattach yourself to people. You may notice yourself pulling away from conversations, craving for external validation and resisting positive change.
